Su verdadero nombre es Israel Kamakawiwo’ole y era un cantante hawaiano que se hizo famoso fuera de su país con el disco Facing Future que publicó en 1993, y que incluía esta maravillosa versión de Somewhere over the Rainbow unida hábilmente con What a wonderful world, quedando un espléndido medley de estas dos grandísimas canciones. No he escuchado el disco, ni conocía a IZ hasta que descubrí esta canción hace un par de años, pero el resto de canciones suyas que he escuchado por Youtube no me dicen nada.

Creo que la escuché por primera vez en la película 50 primeras citas interpretada por Adam Sandler y Drew Barrimore, una de esas comedias románticas que apetece ver de vez en cuando por su simplicidad. Si mal no recuerdo en la escena con la que finaliza la película.
Aunque he estado revisando la B.S.O y no localizo el tema ¿quizá no lo incluyeron o es que tengo la neurona en punto muerto?
